Kati's Blog: And forgive us our debts...

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Six days: Mazarife, San Justo de La Vega, Rabanal, Molinaseca, Cacabelos, Vega de Valcarce. My stops turned out a bit different from what I planned. I walked more than planned, and it hppened, that the hostel I wanted to stay in was simply closed, so I had to go on, no matter what. As a reward, I found a very pleasant hostel at the next stop.

The other thought is forgiveness. For me, one of the most difficult task is to forgive myself! Despite, I feel it’s a gift from God, if we are able to forgive to somebody else, because of whom we suffered so much. During these few days, I tried to practice how to pray, the way Lord thought us to do so. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Well, this is not easy at all! I prayed to God to give me the gift of forgiveness. I hope I will make it! Either way, I feel peace in my soul, because I strongly hanker for the gift of honest forgiveness.

The beautiful places, where I walked, the thoughts and the fact that physically I was able to put down the symbolic loads of my family and myself at one of the most highest point of Camino, meant a lot. First of all, the atmosphere of this place, and the gift, that our life is int he hands of God, means we don’t have to worry about anything, especially not about the past. To accept the plan of God with strong belief, listen to his voice and follow Him. Camino is the beginning of this. I started my way! Thank you, my Lord!
